Anjana is located along the west coastline of goa by the Arabian sea. Anjana was formerly a hippie paradise, but the tradition still continues as it still attracts a lot of backpackers. Anjana has its fair share of people with varied interests including thrill seekers, calm minded, lunatics and the list goes on. Anjana beach is famous for its nightlife.
The beach is part sandy and part rocky. This combination makes it a great place for some great photography. The sunset at this beach is beautiful. There are numerous shacks here which offer great food. Anjana is famous for its legendary full moon parties.
The Anjana flea market is open on Wednesdays. This is easily a tourist’s favorite for shopping. It has a rich variety of handicrafts, clothes, jewelry, sunglasses, hats etc.
The southern end of the beach is home to some sports. Paragliding is one activity which takes place during market days.
Mapusa railway station is the nearest railway station.
