Avalabetta is a relatively unknown gem near Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka, located just around 90 plus kilometers from Bangalore. The drive to this place is quite pleasant except for some small stretches where road condition can be improved. The place is relatively unknown compared to Nandi hills which is around 60 km from this place. Due to this, one finds fewer people in this place. The place attracts nature lovers, bird watchers and rock climbers.
Avalabetta viewpoint looks like a great podium, now famous for the selfies and profile pictures uploaded of this point. The view from the top is pleasant and presents a vast horizon of landscapes plesant to the eyes and soul. One has to exercise caution in the different viewpoints as it is quite dangerous.
Lakshimi Narashimha temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha is located in Avalabetta. The villagers offer the first yeild of cow milk to the diety here. It is a popular practise.

Follow this road for around 70 km. Take a slight left along Avalabetta road in Yerramaranahalli and follow this road to reach Avalabetta. This route goes through Chikkajala, Hunegal, Adhegarahalli, Mandikal to reach Avalabetta.
