Horanadu, popularly known as "Sri Kshetra Horanadu" is located in the Malnad region of Karnataka besides the banks of the river Bhadra. The place is surrounded with thick vegetation giving great views of nature enroute this place. It is one of the main pilgrimage centre for Hindus. Free food and accomodation is provided to families visiting this holy place.
Annapoorneshwari Devi presides as the main diety of Sri Annapoorneshwari temple. The idol is made of gold. Blessings from Annapoorneshwari is believed to take away scarcity of food for the rest of life. The temple offers vegetarian meals to everyone irrespective of religion, caste, creed etc on a daily basis. It makes arrangements for stay.

From Bangalore, connect to Tumkur road and drive till Nelamangala. Follow National Highway 4 and take a left to connect to National Highway 48. Drive through Kunigal, Yediyur, Hassan, Belur. Connect to Belur road to National Highway 234. Take State Highway 106 to Vinayaka Temple Road in Horanadu.
There are regular buses available from Mysore to Horanadu. KSRTC and other private organizations have buses running to this place. Mysore to Horanadu by bus is approximately a 6 hour journey.
From Mysore, connect to Hunsur road. Take State Highway 57. Drive through Devarahalli, Holenarasipura, Hassan, Belur. From Belur road, connect to National Highway 234 and State Highway 106 to reach Vinayaka Temple road.
