Mullayyanagiri peak is one of the most beautiful scenic spots in the Western Ghats. It is the highest peak in Karnataka with an approximate height of 6300 ft i.e 1930 mts. The altitude with grenery provides a mesmerising breeze with a wondeful view.
The peak itself is the highest in Karnataka. There is a small Shiva temple at the peak. The temple offers a nice place to relax around the surroundings.
This is another peak enroute Mullayyanagiri. The panoramic views from Seethalayyanagiri to Mullayyanagiri is mesmerizing.
This is a famous trekking route often clubbed with Baba Budangiri. The trek route starts from a place called Sarpadhari and is around 4 km till Mullayyanagiri.
There are no direct buses to Mullayyangiri. It is around 15 kms from Chikkamagalur. There are frequent buses plying to Chikmagalur.

There are frequent buses plying from Bangalore to Chikkamagaluru. By bus it is approximately a 6 hour journey. From Chikkamagaluru, an auto/ taxi can be taken to reach Baba Budangiri.
There is no direct train to Chikkamagaluru from Bangalore. There is train available from Bangalore to Shimoga. SBC SMET Express (Train No:16201) can be taken from Yeshwantpur Railway Station to Shimoga Railway Station. From Shimoga there is a daily passenger train to Chikkamagalur via Kadur.
Connect to Tumkur road. Drive till Nelamangala and take left to the road connecting Hassan i.e follow NH 4 and NH 48 to State Highway 71 in Channapattana, Hassan. Join State Highway 57 to Mullayanagiri Road in Pandaravalli. Mullayyanagiri is around 20 km from Chikkamagalur discrict.
Theare are regular buses plying from Mysore to Chikkamagaluru. Journey time is around 5 to 6 hours.
Connect to Hunsur road. Follow Mysore road and State Highway 57 to Attigundi road in Hosahalli. Drive to Mullayanagiri Road in Pandaravalli for 14 kms to reach Mullayyanagiri.
