Om beach is one of the finest and most popular beaches in Gokarna. The beach is naturally shaped like the auspicious ॐ (Om) symbol and hence the name. There are many facilities in and around the beach to stay over and have a relaxed and pristine stay. Numerous establishments along the beach offer food.
The beach has great white sand combined with some rocks to give a rugged yet beautiful look. The sunset from this beach is a great sight.
A small trek at the end of the beach along the hill leads one to a beautiful viewpoint. The Om shape is prominent from this view.
There is a small trek trial along the hills to reach half moon and Paradise beaches.
Some boats may offer you a 20 minute trip from Om beach covering Half moon beach, Paradise beach and a light house. It is a pleasant ride to try out one of these boat rides.
Watersports is another attraction at Om beach. Activities available include Banana rides, parasailing, water skiing and surfing.
Om beach is a beautiful 7 km drive from Gokarna. A drive up a scenic hill will lead to Om beach. From Gokarna, connect to Om beach road. This will lead to Om beach.

Gokarana road is the nearest railway station which is located around 8 km from the temple town. This station is a part of the Konkan railway link from Mumbai to Mangalore link.

This route goes through Tumkur, Sira, Hiriyur, Chitradurga, Ranibennur and Yellapura. Follow State Highway 6 to National Highway 63 in Yellapura. Continue on National Highway 63 to Balale. From here, continue on Gokarna road to reach Gokarna. From Gokarna, connect to Om beach road. A drive of around 7 km will lead to Om beach.
