Skandagiri, also known as Kalavara Durga, is situated around 60 kms from Bangalore. One can view a beautiful sunrise amidst milky clouds which might sound fictional but true. It is indeed a real treat for the eyes to watch the clouds inching away from us. You would definitely be awestruck by the nature's serenity. It is around a 5 km moderate trek to the top from the base of the hills. It is a hill with ruins of a fort and temple which dates back to 18th century. Nonetheless, the experience would be rejuvenating. This is an ideal one-day getaway spot for trekkers.
