Amid the Sahyadri range, the river Aghanashini runs through the thick forests of the western ghats and plummets from a height of 116 meters to create the wonderful Unchalli falls. The falls is also referred to as Keppa Joga because of the deafening sound the water fall creates.
The trek to reach the falls is quite interesting. Amid the thick forests and lush greenery it is very easy to get lost in the beauty of nature. The amazing flora and fauna, the cool wind provides great comfort to make the 5 kilometer trek from Heggarne village.
The water falls produced by the Aghanashini river produces a deafening sound. The water fall is also referred to as Mini Niagara.
Unchalli falls is 30 km from Sirsi and 35 km from Siddapura. Buses are available upto a place called Heggarane village. From Heggarane, it is 5 km walk to reach Unchalli falls.
